Day care offers …

It is an essential part of day care to experience social relationships. We support the children in reaching out to others, making friends and developing their ability to cooperate. We pay attention to a respectful and tolerant interaction with one another. In addition, the TAB enables students and teachers to get to know each other better and it promotes more informal interaction.
Apart from our constant study groups we are organized in activity stations, so friendships with pupils from other classes can also be built and maintained. In contrast to the P.E. lessons, we use the gym co-educationally.
The TAB offers both a variety of games (creative and strategic challenges as well as games that meet the students‘ urge to move) and opportunities for our pupils to relax.
(Many games (creative or strategic challenges and games that meet the students‘ urge to move) are available as well as relaxation opportunities.)

During leisure time, the facilities of the school (gym, school yard, library, IT room) are monitored by TAB teachers for our pupils unless these rooms are occupied by regular lessons.
Our various leisure activities are supplemented by creative offers that serve different interests.

After our main study time ends at 3:20 p.m., we additionally offer tutorials in which we support our pupils in individual subjects with a range of subject teachers using specialist methodologies.

Tutorials are offered in which individual subjects are dealt with using a variety of specialist methodologies.

All these offers can be visited on a voluntary basis by all students registered in the TAB for the day. However, it is advisable to visit the tutorials regularly to practice and study, instead of only occasionally before tests.

All opportunities can be visited on a voluntary basis at any time without registration. However, the above times may be subject to changes due to a modified schedule.

If the weather and the schedule allow for it, we visit the surrounding playgrounds (Votivpark, Liechtensteinpark and in front of the Roßauer Kaserne).

During study time, the children can do homework at their own pace. We help them with content-related questions, support them to consolidate the learning material of the lesson or help with resolving comprehension problems. Nevertheless, we only check homework for completeness and not correctness, so that the respective class teacher can get appropriate feedback and can see where to revise specific matters in the classroom.

Basically, study time lasts 50 minutes. Children who have shown themselves to be perfectly organized in their main study time are rewarded for working quickly, as they can switch to the leisure time area immediately after completing their homework or preparing for the study subjects of the following day. Anyone who also wants to study for tests or generally want to improve in a major can attend a tutorial, the participation of which is voluntary (for times see table above).

We are in contact with the teachers of the morning classes. This enables us to specifically address learning difficulties or conflicts of the morning classes.

Other school opportunities such as additional optional subjects (UÜ), remedial courses, reading training, etc. can also be attended without any problems as part of our day care. Your child will be looked after by us before and after the chosen event. Your child may not be able to do all of the homework in day care if its afternoon programme is busy.
